Omar Hazem

Omar is one of the most mobile and athletically gifted Guards in his class, he moves very well on pulls and screenplays and shows his aggressiveness and desired nature. When on the line he gets low, engages his hands well and punches firmly and explosively through the opposition to create the hole for the run game and also to disrupt other players getting through the line. He drives his legs excellently on run plays, but his pass-protection footwork could use some attention. He anchors well and is able to use his strength to put the DL or LB on the group, but he doesn’t redirect once he has finished the block. Overall, Omar is a premier prospect who has a very high ceiling and given his experience in the GFLJ and the coaching he can receive I believe he will be of high value in the near future.Omar has decent size for the position and plays through the whistle with good intensity. A strong blocker in the run game that shows the ability to pull and deliver blocks in space. Omar shows good athleticism getting to the second level and likes to finish blocks to the ground. He excels down blocking IDL, fires off the snap with good power and pad level. Needs to refine his footwork to become a better pass blocker. - Daniel Docal
